Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is a photographer and journalist. Over the past forty-five years, she's focused on documenting human suffering, primarily during war and natural catastrophes. Curry reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry is a journalist anchorperson on television and reporter she was born 1956. Her most famous role was has been on Today, the National Broadcasting Co. morning news program that broadcasts daily. Curry is known for reporting human-rights crises as well as natural disasters and natural disasters, particularly in countries that have been devastated by conflict. Curry's mother was Japanese American and her U.S. Navy-sailor dad played prominent roles in her life. Her father dated the mother of her in Japan as a stationed there after World War II. Her father was a member of the military, and she was forced to relocate a lot. Curry was a student at the High School in Ashland Oregon. After graduating from University of Oregon, Curry earned a bachelor of journalism degree in 1978. As a child she was exposed many kinds of cultures. Curry attended various schools including San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia and Virginia. In the end, she was able to graduate from Ashland High School. She paved her way for a successful career when she started her broadcasting career as a student intern at KTVL Channel 10 in Medford Oregon, eventually becoming the first female news reporter in the station's history at the age of 22. After that, she moved onto becoming an anchor and reporter for KGW which is the NBC affiliate station in Portland. She moved back in Los Angeles four years later as a journalist for KCBS TV. It was during her association with the channel for a period of 6 years that she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
